Water Processing Lead

OVERVIEW: The bottler team lead-Water Processing will have the responsibility of the complete sanitation of all production lines, water processing equipment and batching and oversee daily performance of team. Work with production team for sanitation support and quality assurance for processing equipment. Work with leadership group and team members to improve and maximize plan output, efficiency, quality and safety. The Water Processing Tech. must maintain equipment and workstation in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).


* Commitment to Safety process, knowledge, and participation

* Assist in training operators in sanitation needs

* Manage the Reverse Osmosis (RO) units, GAC, Batching skid, CIP skid and other water process equipment (filter changes, cleaning in Place, daily readings, maintenance. etc.). Able to perform preventive maintenance (PM)

* Work with the sanitation/hygiene coordinator and maintenance to manage and maintain water processing, RO units, low ozone system, mineral skids, chemical inventories, and micron filters

* Perform Clean in Place (CIP) according to CIP schedules and able to troubleshoot

* Ensure compliance with all BSB Quality Programs. Perform checks according to Quality Management System (QMS) and BSB Management System to ensure compliance

* Lead and drive all BSB food safety initiatives to ensure the production of safe and quality products

* Assist and maintain compliance with Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense program

* CIP program monitoring, maintenance, training, record keeping and optimization/assessment

* Maintain BSB Minimum Sanitation Requirement (MSR) compliance

* Monitor and maintain overall hygienic condition, zoning and brush programs

* Supporting in Microbiology sampling duties

* Participate and Lead in BSB Problem Solving Teams-Go See Think Dos

* Assist in management of chemical inventory & QA lab duties

* Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organization

* Understanding of quality systems and processes

* Commitment to Safety process, knowledge, and participation

* Ability to learn and adapt to changing environment

* Manage Batching to ensure meeting operation needs

* Supporting operations department as required by filling in for breaks relief or call offs as needed

* Other duties and projects as assigned by Management

* Plan and communicate Clean in Place (CIP) schedule along with system owner

* Perform and promote continuous training of personnel

* Work with production line owners and maintenance team to plan, organize, and lead PMs on water processing equipment to minimize equipment downtime

* Participation in Line Performance Reviews and driving timely completion of actions.

* Communication with management team and adhering to the escalation process related to Safety, Quality, and Production breakdowns

* Ensure production team members meet quality standards at all times, and coach as appropriate

* EIT & SAM Accuracy during shift and SAM data uploaded into SAP for confirmations

* Process Improvement leader on floor including proactive coaching on safety, quality, production and cost.

* Develop Standards and SOPs

* Lead/support monthly Line Loss meetings

* Unload and inspect raw materials as needed

* Perform quality checks and interpret quality data

* Read and use manual diagrams

* Utilize mathematics (multiplication, division, averages, and percentage calculations)

* Good communication skills to maintain a winning attitude with all team members

* Operate a forklift as needed


* Strong computer, mechanical and troubleshooting skills

* Solid computer skills, including the use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise management software (SAP).

* Some knowledge / experience in water processing activities (RO units, low ozone system, mineral skids, chemical inventories, and micron filters)

* Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively.

* Ability and drive to learn water processing functions

* Must exhibit strong leadership skills and initiative

* Must be flexible with work hours to accommodate production demands

* Ability to move/lift 50 lbs. various times over a 12 hour shift, basic math and reading skills

* Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays
