**Required Skills:**

Software Engineer, Front End/UIE Responsibilities:

1. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test mobile and desktop web software applications or systems

2. Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications

3. Implement features and user interfaces to optimize performance of user-facing products

4. Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products

5. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues

6. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors

7. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

8. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted (remote work benefit)

**Minimum Qualifications:**

9. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
*Employer will accept a 3 or 4-year Bachelor’s degree. Position also requires completion of a university-level course / research project / internship / thesis, or 6 months of experience in the following:

10. Building mobile and desktop web applications using JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6

11. HTML or CSS including layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility

12. Browser APIs and optimizing front end performance of web-based applications

13. Front end development of mobile and desktop applications using React, Vue, or Angular

14. Debugging or benchmarking

15. Writing code for User Interface components

16. Building tools, linting and formatting of the codebase

17. X-platform/x-environment code system design and architecture

18. Product level road mapping: assessing requirements, engineering costing, and execution synchronization
