**A Day in the Life**

This position will be under the system-software integration team. A major part of the daily work is to work closely with operation team and manufacturing team, help to track/resolve the issues encountered during system integration and participate in root cause analysis efforts from RD side.

You will attend the regular standup meetings of the operation/integration and contribute to improving the manufacturing process and drafting/reviewing working instructions.

In addition to working closely with operation and manufacturing side, youwill participate in the debugging and root cause analysis related to software integration and hardware and software defect resolution from RD side.

You will also develop software tools for monitoring system performance, improving utility of logged data, and enhancing debugging.

**As the Associate Integration Engineer, you will:**

+ Maintain working knowledge of the system design and performance against the requirements

+ Learn and master Software Deployment procedures for all aspects of the robotic platform

+ Learn the manufacturing procedures of the whole robotics system

+ Contribute to draft manufacturing instructions

+ Contribute to the assessment of proposed software releases and manufacturing process changes

+ Lead the verification testing for the manufacturing software release

+ Guide efforts to improve software deployment and system debugging process under the manufacturing settings

+ Communicate with broad RD team and organize efforts to resolve manufacturing issues

+ Perform root cause analysis and debugging related to system level errors as well as triaging reported defects to identify impacted subsystems (software or hardware) and prioritization

+ Help to track manufacturing defects and drive the root cause analysis efforts

+ Provide software support and assistance during system operations in RD and clinical settings

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree and 0 years of experience, or advanced degree.

**Nice to Have**

+ Bachelors degree related to electrical/biomedical/computer engineering or computer science

+ Some exposure to product development

+ Experience with Linux, shell scripting, Python scripting, software installation

+ Experience with QNX and knowledge of C and C++.

+ Working knowledge of computer networking

+ Working knowledge of operating systems

+ Working experience with manufacturing

+ Prior experience with system-level debugging

+ Prior experience in system-level development of a complex electro-mechanical system

+ Experience with electro-mechanical devices controlled by software.

+ Working experience in full-life cycle engineering programs and processes

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Knowledge of relevant technologies including:

+ Mechatronics / Robotics

+ Mechanical and electrical interfaces

+ Communication protocols

+ Sensors, actuators, controllers

+ Kinematics of mechanisms

+ Vision and display systems

+ Medical device development experience

+ Knowledge of medical product RD and clinical/regulatory process

+ Fluency in English required

**Working Conditions**

+ Standard office setting, clean room, surgical lab, operating room, pilot lab, external research organizations, supplier visits

+ Travel and flexible hours as needed

+ Based in North Haven, CT USA
