**Responsibilities**

Apply specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral and developmental disorders, conditions and addictions.

+ Administer and interpret tests and measures of psychosocial functioning for the purpose of diagnosing mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive and developmental disorders and disabilities.

+ Develop and implement appropriate assessment-based treatment plans.

+ Consult with team managers, statutory and voluntary agencies and patient's relatives to ensure compliance with the patient's treatment plan.

+ Provide crisis-oriented psychotherapy as well as short-term and long-term psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic treatment.

+ Document patient therapy in accordance with both federal and state regulations.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Social Workers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Preferred Credential(s):

+ Drivers License.

Education:

+ Master's degree in Social Work required.

Work Experience:

+ 3 years of experience preferred.

**Additional Preferences**

LBHC overview:

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

+ Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.

+ Administer individual and group therapy. Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.

+ Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.

+ Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

+ Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

+ Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Counselor specializing in Mental Health credentialed from the Tennessee Board for Professional Counselors and Marital and Family Therapists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Bachelor Social Worker credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Social Workers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Social Workers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
