**Cardiovascular Medicine**

**Role Summary:**

Develops, analyzes, and conducts financial analyses to assess the viability of financial plans and programs, under occasional guidance. Develops financial statements, compensation analyses, financial packages, and presentations for various projects.

**Department Summary:**

The Division
of Cardiovascular Medicine is comprised of more
than 140 faculty members dedicated to understanding, preventing, and treating
cardiovascular disease.

Our physicians
perform approximately 130,000 clinic visits annually. We offer the most
advanced technologies to treat coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and
structural heart disease in new, state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization and
electrophysiology laboratories. In 2018, our heart transplant
program was the second busiest in the world, with 100 adult heart transplants
performed that year. Our multi-disciplinary programs in prevention, lipid
management, inherited heart disease, adult congenital heart disease, vascular
medicine, and cardio-oncology are unique in the region and among the busiest
nationally.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Develops projections to model the financial impact of programs and projects.

+ Designs, develops, and modifies financial forecasting models and simulations for programs. Accumulates and analyzes data from existing or established databases.

+ Analyzes, accumulates, and reviews data for financial reports. Conducts technical research and prepares synopses on relevant topics.

+ Assembles data and compiles drafts, outlines and graphic materials for financial presentations. Coordinates efforts of work group.

+ Analyzes the effects of proposed federal and state statutes and regulatory actions which may impact long range financial planning.

+ Analyzes future trends and indicators in related areas of interest. Reviews data to analyze trends affecting budget needs.

+ The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 2 years relevant experience

**Physical Requirements/Strengths needed & Physical Demands:**

+ Sedentary category requiring exertion up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and uses negligible amounts of force to move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

+ Frequent: Sitting: Remaining in seated position

+ Frequent: Fingering: Picking, pinching, gripping, working primarily with fingers requiring fine manipulation.

**Sensory**

+ Continuous: Auditory: Perceiving the variances of sounds, tones and pitches and able to focus on single source of auditory information
