+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ Experience automating processes using a modern programming language (Python, Java, C++, C, Golang).
+ Experience in Hardware/Firmware development and/or android development.
+ Experience in Gerrit/Android.
+ Ability to maintain and keep current a clear understanding of the entire vehicle stack from base vehicle functions up to Android through 12v power systems, sensors, other ECUS, Android, and application functions in Android.
+ Ability to script or willingness to script/automate processes.
Android Automotive is a core surface for Android in Vehicles. As the Hardware Deployment Manager on this team, you will lead our technical deployment and management of our test hardware. This program is critical for the success of both Android Automotive and the associated Google Automotive Services. In this role, you will be working with Cross Functional Technical Lead/Managers, Technical/Program Managers, as well as Partner Engineering, and core Android teams to support development, testing, and delivery of hardware and firmware.
In this role, you will focus on bringing the best of Google into the vehicles. You will focus on working internally with stakeholders, customers, and leadership from the core Android Automotive team as well as Assistant, Maps, and other Google properties who rely on this hardware to develop.
+ Own and drive day-to-day global operations of reference hardware including desktop units, vehicles, and lab deployment.
+ Manage device health by tracking, debugging, and resolving through direct and cross-functional work with internal and external partners.
+ Manage prioritization, and trade-offs in regards to upgrades, hardware allocation, and support.
+ Communicate operating and device status in a timely and effective manner.
+ Develop and deliver self-help tools and documentation including dashboards, documentation, and videos.
