**AECOM** is seeking an energetic and technology minded BIM Specialist I for immediate employment in the Morrisville, North Carolina office.

This position is expected to start on June 2020.

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

+ This position will report to the CAD/BIM manager in the Information Management Solutions (IMS) department and support a wide variety of clients.

+ ​This position will require an understanding of commercial/industrial architectural design as well as the ability to interpret and model 3D laser scanned buildings in BIM applications.

+ Occasional travel to support project work may be necessary.

+ A successful candidate will possess strong 3D modeling, design and communication skills and experience working with existing plans and LiDAR/laser Scanned point cloud data to develop 3D models and other electronic deliverables.

+ ​Candidates should be creative, possess strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a desire to learn and expand their technical capabilities while working with various AECOM staff and dynamic project teams.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ AA/AS degree in Building Information Management (BIM), Architecture, Architecture Technology/Design, Construction or related field.

+ A valid US driver’s license.

+ Ability to travel periodically to support project work.

+ Must be a US Citizen, due to working with government contracts.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Training or experience modeling with Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Navisworks.

+ Experience processing and working with LiDAR and laser scanner captured point cloud data.

+ Knowledgeable in one or more of the following: Photoshop, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, Inventor, Recap, Cyclone 3D.

+ Some knowledge with MEP designs and modeling a plus.

+ Ability to create 3D views or renderings.

+ Some experience interpreting and working with construction documentation.

+ Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate in both verbal and written form.

+ Ability to work effectively with a team and efficiently individually.

+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
