Operations Supervisor

**TITLE:** Manufacturing Supervisor - PO

Location: Mogadore, OH


Coordinate personnel, materials, and equipment to optimize production and labor efficiency while managing safety, service, employee relations and quality standards of a production department. A key driver in promoting and implementing continuous improvement activities.


+ This position will direct the activities of the manufacturing departments in an efficient manner for the desired quality and quantity of work

+ Supervise the activities of the assigned personnel and manage headcount

+ Direct employees with respect to safety policies and procedures, production volume, cost, quality, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates

+ Responsibilities include providing necessary coaching, training and administering discipline

+ Promote positive employee relations through effective management and issue resolution

+ Stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity of production workers

+ Confer with the Production Manager and Production Planner to establish working schedules for all departments connected with production

+ Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices

+ Assure that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production

+ Schedule vacations and overtime, as required

+ Arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained

+ Keep records of departmental activities, as required

+ Prioritize production activities to meet scheduled inventory and production objectives

+ Key leader in driving Newell’s Continuous Improvement Program, PEAK.

+ Assure SOPs that are followed

+ Manage and improve KPIs, including but not limited to OEE, Productivity and DLE

+ Perform other duties as required or directed


+ Ability to manage by coaching and teaching

+ Able to work with minimal supervision

+ Continuous improvement tools


+ 2-3 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environment

+ Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment

+ Must be willing to workdays or nights and weekends

+ Proficiency with MS Office & other computer applications


+ Preference for a bachelor’s degree in Management/ Business/ Supervision

+ Preference for future development towards higher levels of responsibility and accountability
