Our location in **Minnetonka** **, MN** , currently has an opportunity for a **Project Engineer** .
The project Engineer will plan and conduct small-to-medium size projects to support activities for all phases of the Product Development process, with an emphasis on project management. Partner with R&D, Process Development, Quality Engineering, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to ensure phase deliverables are met from design development through process validation and full product launch. We are a Quality-driven, team-oriented, fast-paced CRM Division. We value people with great ideas who partner with others both internally and externally to take action and accomplish goals.
**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
+ Plan and conduct small-to-medium size product development-related projects
+ Create or assist in the development of product development plans and schedules to lead product development teams
+ Facilitate definition and control of project scope
+ Assist in the coordination of efforts between various functions within a project
+ Assist in monitoring of project activities and execution of deliverables associated with product development plans and schedules
+ Prepare written communication including project plans, meeting minutes, technical reports and documentation of decisions.
+ Conduct hands-on product testing or evaluations, as needed
+ Employ contingency plans to recover from schedule slippages, when appropriate
+ Plan, organize and prioritize own daily work routine to meet established schedule.
+ Track expenses compared to plan for projects
+ Help coordinate design and process prototype development build scheduling in pilot line lab settings or existing production line
+ Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
+ Perform other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING**
+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ **Minimum 2 years** in engineering or related work experience.
+ Experience in a Product Development setting: (R&D, Process Development, PMO or Manufacturing environment).
+ Exposure to Program Management methodologies.
+ Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
+ Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in timely manner.
+ Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
+ Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures.
+ General understanding of business unit/group function.
+ Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
+ Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
+ Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
+ Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.
+ 1-3 years project coordination experience.
+ Experience with Microsoft Project.
+ Past member of a Class II/III medical device development project, including general exposure to FDA and outside U.S. regulations.
+ Understanding of technical aspects of products and their use and function.
+ Familiarity with product technical specifications and requirements.
