Our Opportunity:
We are looking for a Software Engineer II at our facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to serve as a member of Chewy’s Pet Health Tech team.
What You’ll Do:
+ While working within an Agile environment, work with Developers, Product Managers and Designers to identify proper and effective testing strategies, beginning in the planning phases of a feature.
+ Analyze technical and business requirements to design develop web applications and automated testing frameworks of high quality test cases with a focus on requirements coverage across all platforms.
+ Develop automated test cases across frontend web applications and backend APIs.
+ Analyze platform scalability requirements, define and execute load testing strategies to ensure the platform meets future performance and reliability requirements.
+ Perform test execution and report high quality, repeatable defect reports using JIRA.
+ Monitor existing defects and bring them to closure.
+ Play a major role in championing the importance in quality improvement across all areas of the SDLC.
+ Analyze test results and understand the root cause of defects.
+ Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study
+ 5 years of experience in the following: JavaScript and Quality Engineering in UI;
+ breaking down product requirements into well-defined small development and automated testing tasks.
+ Experience must include three (3) years in the following: React.js or similar JavaScript frameworks;
+ Automated Testing Tools and Frameworks;
+ API;
+ backend testing;
+ eCommerce or retail.
+ Experience must also include the following: Agile Testing environment;
+ SQL;
+ documentation;
+ Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence, and HipChat);
+ Java;
+ Webdriver IO, Cypress, Cucumber, Postman, insomnia, Jest, Mocha, Enzyme, Selenium, webdriver (TestNg framework), Autoit, Spock, GITHUB, Confluence, JIRA, React, JavaScript, Java, REST API, and Agile;
+ designing and developing testing frameworks for frontend and backend applications;
+ integrating automated testing frameworks into CICD for non‐prod environments;
+ collaborating with teams to add business test cases to improve test coverage and reliability of software.
+ Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.
