FRWD@Bain is looking for a media professional eager to take the next step in their career. Someone who enjoys and has successfully delivered impact that clients value, and wants to do that at a broader level. This role will be part of a unique consulting/agency hybrid service model and a high-performing team that is typically involved in accelerating client results through testing, learning and scaling what works. Month to month experiences will typically range from very focused media mix and optimization to full transformations across the marketing mix - strategy and audience segmentation, creative, analytics through to delivering results for great brands and clients. We are looking for someone who is excited to share their knowledge with the broader Bain and client teams, and connect the client’s marketing efforts to broader business outcomes. In FRWD@Bain nomenclature, the Expert is responsible for leading internal and client teams to successful outcomes with relatively little day-to-day “management” oversight. The Expert is seen as an invaluable member of the client teams, helping move at pace through our “small moves” way of working. In some cases this role guides execution by other agencies or internal client teams, and in some cases by FRWD@Bain. The Expert must objectively solve for each situation while earning trust without turf issues – sometimes including CMOs, CFOs and other agency partners.
Responsibilities & Duties
Drive analysis and recommendations that guide marketing planning, brand strategy through expertise in digital channels / tactics, capabilities (technology and organizational), communications mix and messaging, and decisions on what to scale based on learning and potential relative value
+ Ensure high quality individual test designs against the roadmap at all times
+ Be a thought leader by staying externally connected with media partners and best practices, and inspiring the FRWD and broader Bain and client teams in various forums
+ Develop POVs and recommendations on a variety of topics to guide clients and partners
+ Provide support and guidance in execution to help the FRWD and/or other execution teams (at other agencies or the client internal team) deliver great results whose impact is clearly communicated and on time
+ Close work with internal execution teams on campaign-specific needs. Help training and enabling junior teams to execute at a high quality level while learning and growing. Likely to include core media team members focused on specific channels, analysts, and creative team of writers and designers
+ QA data and analysis with actionable insights as it relates to business goals for reporting – the person who makes sure everyone knows what great, good and poor looks like and has a plan to improve or pivot as needed

+ Communication, especially in packaging content into effective client presentations and being the person leading the room in meetings, articulating clear action items and providing direction
+ Working in agile, shorter sprints instead of long planning cycles
+ A proven track-record developing and contributing to successful, innovative and impactful marketing efforts is essential. Communications strategy, goals and testing roadmaps across projects, packaged and structured to deliver clear outcomes against client business priorities
+ Partnership oriented – with clients of course, and in working well with the internal integrated team as well as, other agencies
+ Ideally 6-8 years media planning experience, preferably with at least 3-4 of most recent years in digital – paid social, display, video, search, content syndication and ad technology
+ Willingness to travel
+ Experience in the Healthcare or Financial Services industries a strong plus
