Facilities Assistant - Full-time - 1.0 FTE - Day Shift - Maintenance & Facilities - Skilled Nursing & Rehab - St. Francis Place

St. Francis Place, an Ascension Living community, is looking for a caring and compassionate Facilities Assistant to join the team. This facility is a beautiful 77-bed skilled nursing community located on the campus of St. Francis Hospital. Our post-acute care services include rehabilitation, medical-surgical care, wound care, IV therapy and more. We also serve residents with chronic illnesses in need of an extended stay.

What You Will Do

As a Facilities Assistant, you will assist with the maintenance of equipment, systems and structures.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assist with performing testing, inspection, implementation and maintenance of equipment, systems and structures

+ Perform minor repairs and replacements, including replacing light bulbs and fire extinguishers, as requested/necessary

+ Receive and distribute materials throughout the facility

+ Perform the moving of items within/between locations and from/to storage, including furniture, equipment, and files

+ Perform duties in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision or direction and initiate immediate corrective action on minor deficiencies; report major problems to maintenance supervisor for appropriate action

+ Perform general inspections of properties during repair visits and initiate work orders as necessary

+ Know and adhere to safety codes and regulatory agency requirements

+ Painting rooms and common areas throughout the 77 bed skilled nursing and rehab facility

+ Other tasks as assigned

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Boiler Operator preferred.

Education:

+ High school diploma or GED required.
