**Senior Software Engineer** :
Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation. Responsible for driving change on our Elastic (ELK) team. ELK is a solution that is vital to our traceability and logging across AT&T and has gained high visibility as we move into the cloud. Your role will assist in ensuring that we are implementing efficient solutions and innovating the way that we are logging. Requires senior level experience.
Qualified candidates are required to have the following:
+ Senior level technical expertise, typically requires 5-8 years experience in developing software applications including: analysis, solutioning, design, coding, testing, deploying and supporting of applications
+ Understanding of logging needs and have experience in deploying packages into Azure using Packer and Kubernetes
+ Skills with terraform, shell, maven, groovy script, connectivity, key encryption, technical writing
+ Strong in the Elastic Stack; experience building out elastic environments and configuring environments for optimal efficiency
+ Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience
+ Understand API design/development, Web Services design/development (REST, SOA, etc.)
+ Proficient in application/software architecture (Definition, Business Process Modeling, etc.)
+ Proficient in application/software testing (Unit, Integration, System, Case Planning, Design and Execution)
+ Understand change Control Methodology
+ Proficient in Development Methodologies (AGILE, SAFe, etc.)
+ Understand Development Tools (Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, simulation tools, etc.)
+ Proficient in technologies/programming (HTML, XML, SSL, HTTP, JSON, Kubernetes, J2EE, MySql, Cassandra, etc.)
+ Understand operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows)
