Education
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
Work Experience
1 year of relevant systems support/administration experience preferred
Basic experience and knowledge with the following:
• Network and server operating systems
• Server and database administration tasks
• Network and storage administration and related management utilities
• Remote access configuration
• Policy-based management
• Cloud administration
• Virtualization
• Experience working with modern APIs (REST)
• Scripting and automation (PowerShell)

Essential Functions
• Provide prompt support to customer issues, identifying the root cause and participate in developing
creative solutions to correct problems. Document all fixes and communicate the resolution of issues to
affected users.
• Implement basic configuration changes and monitor performance to resolve identified problems.
• Work with and learn from senior members of the team on tuning system configurations for optimal
performance
• Escalate issues to subject matter expert team members and collaborate with other IS teams to resolve
issues as needed.
• Participate in implementing process improvement ideas for supported platforms
• Collaborate closely with IS stakeholders, business stakeholders, architects, and subject matter experts on
implementation for upgrades and new technology strategies
• Follows department security policies to maintain user security, backups and data protection, and ensuring
high availability and redundancy of systems
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure that software patches, device drivers, and firmware updates
are applied within defined security policy
• Serve as Knowledge Base lead for the Infrastructure team to enable regular documentation review and
maintain system support documentation
• Participate in the on-call schedule to provide systems administration support during off hours.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive and redundant manual processes and to streamline other
processes.
• Educate customers and team members as needed
• Identify self-training opportunities and/or conferences that align with yearly goals
