FAST Labs Software Engineer II (Hybrid)

**Job Description**

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Today s warfighters and intelligence analysts are overwhelmed with data and tasks from a variety of unmanned vehicle systems. As a Software Engineer II in FAST Labs Engineering you will:

1. Assist in the evaluation and design of highly complex and innovative software architectures.

2. Work in focused small teams (3-5 people) on a variety of fast moving projects.

3. Be mentored and trained by senior software engineering staff in industry best practices and process.

4. Design, write, test, integrate, and debug software on assigned programs.

Qualified candidates will also possess knowledge of software architectures, basic data structures and algorithms, and software development tools, As a member of the Software Engineering Directorate, you will have opportunities to continue developing strong and increasingly complex software skills and stay current in the software discipline.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Bachelor's Degree in a technical area with typically 2 years professional SW development experience, oraMaster's Degree in a technical area.

+ Experience with object-oriented C in a Linux Environment.

+ Exposure to embedded systems development.

+ Current SECRET clearance and ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Proficiency with software build tools such as: Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab, CMake, Clang, and Ant.

+ Experience with Digital Signal Processing.

+ Experience developing algorithms in MATLAB

+ General Purpose Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) OPENCL or CUDA development.
