KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.


+ Review and evaluate Federal financial business processes

+ Provide subject matter technical knowledge in financial management areas of financial reporting, internal controls, and financial business systems

+ Apply experience in federal financial management (e.g. Federal financial reporting and/or auditing in accordance with Office of Management & Budget (OMB) guidance (A-123, A-136, etc.), Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), Department of Defense (DoD), Financial Management Regulation (FMR), Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) standards, Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government (Green Book), Financial Audit Manual (FAM), and other Federal financial management laws, regulations, and policies

+ Review and analyze financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred


+ A minimum of three years of Federal financial management / analysis experience

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university; CPA and/or CGFM/CDFM certifications preferred

+ Ability to oversee team members in working independently and manage concurrent tasks and deadlines

+ Demonstrated knowledge / experience of Federal financial management

+ Experience recognizing business challenges and developing solutions / recommendations in a dynamic environment

+ Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements

+ U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government Secret security clearance
