The Employee Financial Services (EFS) practice operates within the NTD, focusing exclusively on providing comprehensive financial planning services to large employee and executive groups including the development and delivery of financial education workshops.

**Your key responsibilities**

As a Financial Planner Line (FPL) Staff, you will acquire the knowledge and expertise of specific benefit and retirement plans for existing and new client engagements. You’ll conduct and/or participate in Financial Planning Line training (including engagement-specific training), assist with new client engagements, facilitate Financial Planning Line’s communications, and provide ample assistance to team members by sharing knowledge to develop and enhance service delivery. Using cutting-edge technology and working with team-oriented colleagues, you will work on multiple and challenging financial counseling engagements that serve our clients' overall financial needs. You’ll be responsible for providing quality financial planning, primarily over the phone, which leads to long-term relationships.

**Skills and attributes for success**

+ Demonstrate basic understanding of complex financial planning concepts, company-provided benefit plans (including stock option and income tax matters), and effectively convey this knowledge to various clients

+ Provide comprehensive financial counseling (primarily over the phone) and build lasting client relationships

+ Prepare and review comprehensive financial planning analyses for client's financial state and determine guidance

+ Interact with HR benefit professionals through individual and company client meetings within a team environment to deliver quality integrated advisory services to clients while owning accounts and responsibilities

+ Assist in Financial Planning Line new business presentations, creating or testing new tools, leverage technology to continually maximize productivity

**To qualify for the role you must have**

+ Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required in a related field, supported by tax or financial planning experience

+ Valid CFP, CFA, CPA or active state bar membership preferred

+ Series 65 (or the ability to obtain within a reasonably mandated period of time)

+ Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal; problem-solving ability and attention to detail

+ Commitment to learning in a tax technology environment and proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office

+ Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

**Ideally, you’ll also have**

+ Retirement or Financial Planning background with a Series 65 license or CFP

+ Experience in a call-center environment

+ We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $58,900 to $97,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $70,800 to $110,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

+ Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
