Certified Nursing Assistant

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization.

The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. The CNA performs age -specific direct patient care functions and ancillary duties to meet the goals of Patient Care Services and comply with Title XXII regulations and JCAHO.

+ Provides personal hygiene care and assistance to patients in a timely manner and to document and report any unusual observation to the nurse in charge.

+ Takes Vital Signs in a timely manner and reports abnormals promptly to the nurse in charge.

+ Assists with food and fluid maintenance in a timely manner. Records Intake & Output consistently.

+ Assists with elimination, documents according to prescribed procedures and reports patient's response in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Assists in maintenance of body alignment, positioning and repositioning every 2 hours and PRN to provide patient comfort.

+ Assists in pressure sore prevention by utilizing the turning schedule every 2 hours to patients with pressure sore or at risk of developing one.

**Job Requirements**

Required

+ Certified Nursing Assistant: CA

+ AHA Basic Life Support - CPR

+ Fire Safety, within 90 Days

**Pay Range**

$24.00 - $28.09 /hour
