Housekeeping Specialist - MGM Grand

**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**

As a Housekeeping Specialist, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Complete preventive maintenance for Guest Room Attendant and House Person’s vacuum cleaners

+ Deliver all vacuums with motor or electrical problems to Facilities for repair, remove repaired vacuums from Facilities

+ Replace energy saving light bulbs on lamps as assigned.

+ Perform monthly audits of hand fire extinguisher expiration dates that are located throughout the hotel

+ Handle two-way communication radio, and respond to beeper for incoming calls

+ Follow safety procedures.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

+ Able to effectively communicate in English to effectively communicate with all business contacts

+ Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

+ Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills

+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills

+ Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

**PREFERRED:**

+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Six (6) months of experience in housekeeping

+ Bilingual

+ Experience repairing commercial vacuums

+ Experience in a similar resort setting
