Material Handler (Shift TBD)

We are searching for an experienced Material Handler (Shift TBD) at our Las Vegas. NV facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary:
Primary responsibilities for the Material Handler will be to ensure raw materials and other items needed for production are delivered to the appropriate work area and tracked in a timely manner.

Job Duties:
Duties include transferring material between the warehouse and production floor, assisting with the receipt of in-bound material, placement of raw materials in proper storage areas and processing all documentation to ensure inventory accuracy.

- Prepare work area at the beginning of the shift and ensuring that is ready and clean for the next shift which includes replenishing necessary materials and paperwork.
- Ensure stock and supplies are delivered to appropriate work areas as requested.
- Wrap and prepare inner company transfers.
- Replace raw materials in the warehouse when stock is low.
- Breakdown incoming shipments of raw materials (warehouse transferred or newly received).
- Communicate to supervisor of low stock level concerns.
- Unload and load PLI truck.
- Collect and prepare recycle material for shipment and gather/dispose of trash in the warehouse.
- Log pull sheets.
- Track all jobs and double check paperwork for accuracy.
- Load scrap trailer and gaylords,
- Organize stock, front stock, wrap stock, and label cards.
- Keep dock cleared and ready for incoming shipments.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Safely perform physical demands as indicated below.
- Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel.
- Work mandatory overtime as needed to meet customer needs.

Required Qualifications:

Qualifications:
One year factory related experience in both shipping and receiving.
Experience with material handling equipment (Pallet Jack)
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Required to read and write English.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills and able to communicate via email.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting, but may be exposed to:
Variable temperature conditions indoor and outside (occasionally extreme heat or extreme cold)
Moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and dust and/or mite hazards
Moderate noise environment

Regular work days are Monday through Friday. First Shift hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm; Second Shift hours are 2:00pm - 10:30pm; Third Shift are 10:00pm - 6:30am. Additional overtime may be required with short notice.
