**Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced personnel with P-3 aircraft background to support a contingent maintenance program with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Lake Charles, LA. The CBP P-3 fleet consists of Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Long Range Tracker (LRT) high-endurance, all-weather, tactical turbo-prop aircraft. The AEW aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U.S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. The LRT aircraft are used to intercept, track airborne and surface threats in source and transit zone countries. The P-3 aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art, highly sophisticated sensor equipment, i.e., radar, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) detecting systems.**

**In this position, you will provide objective-oriented direction and work assignment to non-exempt team members utilizing management guidelines & general policies of the Manufacturing segment of the P-3 program located in Lake Charles, LA.**

**Your responsibilities will include:**

+ **Provide supervision and direction to aircraft maintenance personnel in carrying out aircraft maintenance functions as required maximizing efficiency and minimizing work hours and errors.**

+ **Ensure assigned aircraft maintenance work is performed properly and is legibly documented.**

+ **Monitor and control project materials and maintenance labor expenses with regard to overtime requirements and limitations, according to instructions, plans, budgets, and schedules.**

+ **Oversee the correct use of tools and equipment required to accomplish assigned tasks efficiently, properly, and safely.**

+ **Serve as liaison with other departments to ensure proper coordination of support efforts and availability of required information.**

+ **Ensure work progress is accurately documented on non-routine or routine paperwork to include stamps, signatures, and references per local SOPs.**

+ **Ensure the proper maintenance and control of aircraft visibility work boards, which indicate work remaining and work in progress.**

+ **Review estimates for all non-routine maintenance documents and communicates any major defects or findings to Management.**

+ **Initiate and recommend approval of personnel actions including PTO, expense reports, payroll, pay changes, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and leaves of absence.**

+ **Interview, select, and/or recommend hire of employees. Provide appropriate training for departmental personnel.**

+ **Document, report, and investigate all accidents in accordance with established policy and procedures.**

+ **Provide dynamic front line management to a team of direct reports.**

+ **Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures with regard to all department functions.**

**Basic Qualifications:**

**1. A High School diploma and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; Master's and a minimum of 6 yrs of relevant experience, may also be considered.**

**2. A minimum of Five (5) years of management experience**

**3. A current DoD security clearance.**

**4. Ability to pass the required Dept of Homeland Security Background Investigation.**

**5. Ability to perform your duties in a closed area, wearing the required safety gear in a variety of physical conditions.**

**6. Knowledge in at least one but preferred all in repair, installing trouble shooting of aircraft systems, flight controls, Avionics, or Structures**

**7. Ability to perform/supervise tasks such as fuel system fueling and defueling, avionics, engine operations, APU operations and flight control systems**

**8. Ability to work flexible hours for assigned shift**

**Preferred Qualifications:**

**1. A&P license**

**2. 10 or more years of aviation maintenance management experience**

**3. P-3 experience**

**4. A current Department of Homeland Security Background Investigation**

**Salary Range:** $82,100 - $123,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
