Responsibilities

Covenant Health is community-owned health system in East Tennessee compiled of nine acute care hospitals and one mental health facility. Our member organizations include rehabilitation, outpatient oncology, homecare and hospice, diagnostics and over 200 providers in our employed practices. We are one of the region's largest employers and the leader for quality and clinical innovations.

Covenant Health is looking for a Vice President of Patient Experience to assume multi-site system responsibility for Patient Experience. This executive will report to the EVP of Hospital Operations and foster a culture of patient and family centered care and service excellence, while improving patient and patient family relations across the enterprise. This position will be tasked with translating the concepts of service excellence and patient experience into actionable behaviors.

The leader will be the system expert on patient satisfaction and service excellence. Working in partnership with key leadership and patient experience teams across the organization. The successful candidate will drive positive culture change in an environment that provides clinical excellence and excellent patient relations.

Areas of focus are:

  • Patient experience and related measurement tools
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Development of strategic patient centric initiatives
  • Supports organizational change management



Qualifications

Position Qualifications:
Master's degree required in Business or Healthcare Administration or Organizational Development or equivalent. CPXP or applicable certification preferred.

Minimum five (5) years' experience or equivalent in administrative and senior project management experience. Demonstrated success as an internal/external consultant. Knowledgeable in the healthcare field. Experienced in management, strategic planning, human resource practice, project management, and performance management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Can relate well with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of staff and management.

Licensure Requirement: Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver's license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout the employment tenure.
