Clinical Nurse I, Emergency Department
Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Days
The Emergency Department is a 34 bed unit, with 33,000 annual visits/150 daily patient visits. Our staff members include RNs, LPNs, CNA/PCAs, and HUCs. The patients we care for typically have medical emergencies and acute care illnesses with occasional trauma. The ED staff has a can-do attitude and a knack for overcoming obstacles to get the job done. We are team oriented and work at a lively pace. Customer satisfaction is a high priority.
Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center believes in being a well-rounded nurse and we offer our new graduates classroom and 16 weeks of on-unit training with a preceptor. Covenant Health offers a Nurse Residency Program to new graduates to provide support during the first year as a new nurse. In addition, we encourage hospital and unit-based Shared Governance participation to challenge nurses to utilize evidence-based practice at the bedside. OCN Certification available to all RN's.
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience: New graduate, within first (1 st ) year of orientation (move to level II afer one (1) Year experience).
Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN license. CPR required.
