SCOPE OF POSITION
The Supervisor, Central Scheduling is responsible for managing the operations of the Central Scheduling department, as well as serving as a liaison between front-end operations and referring Physician’s offices. The Supervisor will assist the Director with managerial functions of the Customer Service Representatives within the Central Scheduling unit.
The Supervisor will be responsible for the building of providers schedule templates within EPIC and schedule appropriate assignments in the hospital, clinic, diagnostics etc. Getting the provider schedules to all the appropriate locations for notification of assignments. The individual will have in-depth knowledge of the scheduling system and the downstream effect on other systems and departments. The Supervisor will conduct continuous call audits to ensure quality of scheduling process and customer service is maintained. The Supervisor shall have frequent interaction with referring physician’s offices, patients, other department managers and directors to assure appropriate patient access/care are provided. The Supervisor shall be responsible for the weekly/monthly reporting of all statistical data to Senior Management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in, Business Administration, or healthcare-related field preferred, or 3-5 years’ experience in template builds and coordination of multiple providers schedules in EPIC and other scheduling software within the health system. Punctual, organized, demonstrates excellence in time management for meeting deadlines and follow through. Excellent communication, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Proficient in the use of computers, particularly in EPIC and Microsoft Office applications. Proficient in the use of the Scheduling, host systems, PC Office applications, Kronos time keeping and any other applicable systems.
