Director, BHMA Operations, (FT) 8a-5p Regional Admin, Kingsport, TN

SCOPE OF POSITION
Within Ballad Health Medical Associates, the BHMA Director Operations will ensure alignment with Ballad Health’s mission and vision while upholding the organization’s value and code of conduct.  This role has direct authority and oversight for the operations of their area of responsibility within the physician practices. 

  • Manage and provide support for +8M in Gross Patient Revenue, +35 total FTEs and +12 Clinician FTEs
  • Provide support and execution of the management action plans and COPA commitments/Terms of Certification 
  • Directly assist the AVP of Ballad Health Medical Associates with the development and growth within their service line and/or market including opening of new clinics
  • Drive financial and operational performance by utilizing data review and metrics to determine decision making and execution
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and best practice standard(s), collaborate with facility and/or service line stakeholders, participate in outreach development with referring physicians and communities
  • Participate in generating monthly and quarterly operation reports to review with BHMA Leadership and establishing annual operating and capital budgets
  • Coordinate Physician Recruitment needs and activities, manage quality, payment for performance, alternative payment model, and value-based reimbursement opportunities
  • Invest in team growth and development opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education/Experience:
Required – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field plus 5 year(s) experience in physician practice management or healthcare operations.

Knowledge/Skills Abilities:
Self-motivated, strong communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels, excellent organizational skills and manage multiple priorities, ability to maintain confidentiality and observe HIPAA compliance.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and knowledgeable of budgetary preparation.

Preferred –
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
Prior leadership or management experience in physician practice is highly preferred
Proven track record in growing physician practice revenues and volumes
Experience with analyzing and interpreting physician practice benchmarking information
