SCOPE OF POSITION
The Activities Assistant, Wexford House will assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of the facility. The Assistant will interview residents or family members to obtain activity information. The Assistant will involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible. This individual will involve the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident. Additionally, this individual will transport residents to the Beauty Shop, transfer to chair, and ensure resident safety while there. The Assistant is responsible for transporting residents via automobile to medical, dental, and other appointments and provides personal care assistance during the transport. The Assistant will also be responsible for taking residents to the dining room at mealtimes and providing care. During some activity events, the Assistant will be responsible for feeding residents, and ensuring that they get the correct consistencies/types of food.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid and active CNA licensure in appropriate state, must be obtained within 6 months if not currently held
CPR required
