**Possible Incentives for external RN First Assists:

+ Up to $30,000 Sign-on Bonus based on experience

RN First Assist (RNFA) job duties:

+ Assists physicians in surgery and may perform specific significant surgical tasks under professional supervision.

+ Surgical tasks include, but are not limited to, opening and closing surgical sites, exposure of the surgical site, harvesting grafts, dissecting tissue, removing tissue, implanting devices, and altering tissues.

+ Under professional supervision, the RNFA performs task which include, but are not limited to, applying and removing splints and/or casts, placing Foley catheters, placing IV’s, placing arterial lines, administering local anesthesia, and other such procedures as requested and necessary.

Applicants Must Have:

+ Current RN license in State of Ohio

+ Minimum of 24 months RN experience in an OR required.

+ Successful completion of approved RNFA course

+ Current BLS certification

+ Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire). If hired after June of 2010, at KMCS, all other KHN facilities after Jan 2011

+ ACLS, NRP, and PALS as determined by unit scope of practice

+ Achievement of CNOR certification, CRNA preferred
