SCOPE OF POSITION
The Expressive Therapist is responsible for assisting the Therapist to complete tasks within their scope of practice and competence. This includes patient assessments, psychosocial histories, treatment planning and discharge planning activities. The Expressive Therapist also assists the Therapist to conduct individual and group treatment including psycho-educational and activity sessions. They will also work with clients to establish/review goals of treatment and progress toward goals. They will document in the medical record to reflect the patient's progress and participation in treatment.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Art therapy, Music therapy, Psychology, or Human Services field from an accredited school or university and maintains current certification for the Art or Music Therapy degrees. At least 2 years of related clinical experience with the serious and persistently mentally ill or addictions population is preferred. Excellent group facilitation skills and experience. Must have an ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to handle multiple demands in a calm, controlled manner.
