SCOPE OF POSITION
The Director, Specialty Pharmacy Services shall be responsible for the overall direction and administration of the clinical and business operations directly related to the specialty pharmacy operations assigned to the department of each designated hospital within Ballad Health. The Director is responsible for the team member coordination of the Specialty Pharmacy operations. The Director will perform the job functions of the Specialty Pharmacist. The Director will be directly responsible for pharmacy related activities in the infusion division, including patient referral evaluation, product mixing and dispensing procedures, clinical drug monitoring, and communication of appropriate drug information internally and externally, and proper documentation of all pharmacy related activities to comply with federal and state regulations. This individual will be responsible for proper control and documentation of all scheduled drug usage and inventory control within the Specialty Pharmacy division. The Director will conduct regular meetings with team members to maintain standards of care and to improve the quality of services. The Director will coordinate to ensure appropriate supplies and maintain par levels of stock. Participates in achieving business goals and metrics for the specialty pharmacy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy program. Previous Directorial experience is preferred. Experience should include, but not limited to, clinical consultations, review and medication usage evaluation for patients of all age groups, etc. Demonstrated proficiency and experience in the areas of Specialty Pharmacy counseling is required. Understanding of related information systems hardware and software.
Must hold or be or be eligible to hold a valid and active Pharmacy licensure in both Tennessee and VirginiaCurrent CPR certification required
