Manager, Communications Sr

**Overview**

The Senior Manager, Communications is responsible for providing internal communications strategy and counsel for initiatives that support the enterprise strategy and associate engagement, and for leading the work of other internal communications team members. The function works with the VP Corporate Marketing & Communications to develop the internal communications team’s overall strategy and ensure comprehensive understanding of departmental processes, core tools and channels, and key deliverables. This role does not have direct reports.

**Essential Functions:**

+ Develop and execute strategic integrated communications solutions and partner with other team members and company stakeholders as needed to deliver the desired outcome. Measure and report on results.

+ Develop and nurture effective relationships with key internal stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor to provide counsel and support.

+ Assign projects or work to the team as appropriate, and ensure the team consistently delivers appropriate, high quality materials that support the stated objectives.

+ Develop an annual internal communications plan, and ensure the team delivers against it.

+ Lead the strategy and content for internal communications tools, channels, and processes, and proactively identify opportunities to improve their effectiveness.

+ Collaborate with VP to create an annual internal communications budget, and manage the day-to-day spending and vendor activities

+ Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Education Requirements:**

+ High School Diploma/GED

+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar

**Work Experience Requirements:**

+ Minimum 7 years of directly related experience; exceptional writing skills; well-versed in AP Style

+ 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience

+ Deep experience in corporate employee communications for a large organization with constituents in various locations

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:**

+ Strategic thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to plan, develop and execute integrated communication plans and measure and report the results

+ Superior written and oral communications skills

+ Proficiency with professional communications standards, including writing style guides and corporate communication best practices

+ Ability to initiate and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision or direction

+ Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and the entire Microsoft Office suite

+ Aptitude and hunger for team engagement, learning and professional development

+ Utmost attention to detail, excellent organizational skills

+ Ability to simultaneously balance multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude
