**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Our engineers collaborate across the organization to execute the full life cycle of projects, including planning, organizing, and managing the project from concept to execution and implementation. As a member of the systems engineering team, in Indianola, PA you will work closely with the technical teams of various programs and projects to define requirements and solve problems during device development. You will work with existing products in lifecycle engineering efforts, as well as new products in various stages of the product development process. As a co-op, you will gain valuable experience in medical device development and engineering.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Systems Engineering Co-Op, are to:
+ Support systems engineering responsibilities at various phases of product development;
+ Work with a team to face challenges that arise during product development, and engineer solutions to meet deadlines;
+ Work in both a desk and laboratory setting to apply a hands-on mindset to solving problems.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
+ Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's program with an emphasis in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or Biomedical Engineering;
+ Completion of at least the sophomore year;
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
+ Some laboratory experience;
+ Coursework in medical device development/regulatory affairs;
+ Interest in medical device software.
