**The Opportunity**

Based in our Hollywood, Florida office the Director, Licensing & Acquisitions, Latin America role leads the sourcing, evaluation and execution of transactions across the Latin America region for Established Pharma division. The candidate will play a key strategic role to shape the future growth of established pharma business across the region. The role will work closely with the global and regional functions to identify and execute upon new strategic initiatives.

**What You Will Work On:**


+ Identify and establish strong networks and engage with potential partners to explore partnering options

+ Evaluate and prioritize strategic opportunities with differentiated products and portfolio fit with core therapy areas of Established Pharma division

+ Interface with regional/country management and BD teams to identify regional/local targets for potential licensing and acquisitions

+ Proactively monitor external environment for competitive transactions


+ Screen potential opportunities by analyzing strategic fit, commercial forecasts, and deal financials, and integrating cross-functional inputs to build robust business cases

+ Co-ordinate and consolidate product evaluation, commercial forecasts, and due diligence for each opportunity working closely with commercial, regulatory, medical, quality, legal, finance and operations colleagues

+ Facilitate alignment and collaboration across functions, including for project kickoffs, due diligences, business case reviews

+ Presentation to division and corporate management of business cases, due diligence findings, key risks and deal structures

**Deal Execution**

+ Design creative partnering structures specific to each opportunity

+ Lead the negotiation of term sheets and contracts to execute strategic partnerships including in-licensing, product acquisitions, and commercialization agreements

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in sciences and/or business, with graduate degree preferred

+ 15+ years’ experience in business development in the pharmaceutical industry or investment banking / management consulting / private equity industry

+ Bi-lingual in Spanish and English

+ Proven track record of closing transactions with a solid deal sheet

+ Strong negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills

+ Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry dynamics, trends and competitive landscape, both globally and across emerging markets

+ Strong analytical and financial skills, and ability to aggregate information from multiple sources and distill into concise strategic insights

+ Demonstrated ability to lead complex assignments and projects requiring integration of multiple disciplines and influencing key stakeholders

+ Entrepreneurial mindset, ability and eagerness to challenge status quo, make quick decisions, lead and operate successfully in a fast-paced evolving environment

+ Strong project management skills, ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize effectively

+ Willingness to travel (>50%)
