Trauma PI Coordinator - Hamilton - Trauma - PT/Days

In collaboration with the Trauma Program leadership, is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) program which encompasses all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participates in the care of trauma patients. Provides coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes. Collaborates closely with trauma program leadership to assure compliance with American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma standards and guidelines. Maintains constant readiness for ACS re-verification. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s in Nursing required, master’s degree preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

More than 5 years of experience as a practicing nurse required.

Experience in emergency or critical care nursing preferred.

Two year's experience caring for trauma patients preferred.

Previous experience with data management, performance improvement preferred.

Knowledge of performance improvement principles preferred.

Previous positions/experience in performance improvement, trauma outreach, or quality preferred

Required Licenses

[Ohio, United States] Registered Nurse

Ohio Registered Nurse license required.

TNCC certification required within one year of hire.

BLS required.

Required Skills

Ability to work independently. Ability to work with diverse groups and to collaborate effectively. Strong analytic skills. Strong knowledge of technology and software applications including Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written and speaking communication skills required. Demonstrates ability to function under stress and multi-task. Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to improve the care of the trauma patient.
