**The Opportunity**

This position works out of our Abbot Park, IL or Willis Tower location in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.

We are looking for an **Application Developer to support all applications** .

**What You’ll Work On**

+ **Design, develop, test and implement web and database solutions using approved technologies (MS.Net)** and coding standards.

+ Translate business requirements and use cases into technical designs and functional, maintainable code.

+ Investigate and resolve application issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting.

+ **Deploy application fixes/updates** to software applications following proper approval processes.

+ Perform impact analysis to applications/servers due to environment upgrades, upcoming projects and planned maintenance.

+ Coordinate technical tasks/activities across various Information Technology teams.

+ Create/maintain technical documentation for new and existing applications.

+ Define implementation activities and assign individual responsibilities; assume leadership role for implementation activities; coordinating implementation with other parts of the enterprise and provide routine status of activities to Project Manager or direct supervisor.

+ Develop project plans, schedules and resource requirements.

+ Provide guidance/expertise to other developers on the project team.

+ Monitor jobs/logs for successful completions/database loads.

+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

+ Responsible to create data models, indexes, views, materialized views, sequences, triggers, stored procedures, etc.

**EXPERIENCE:**

+ Extensive experience with web and database development.

+ Extensive experience with Oracle and SQL Server required, Microsoft Access a plus.

+ Extensive experience with **Microsoft .NET C# and/or** Java.

+ Experience with **HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS,** and other web-related libraries.

+ Experience with REST, JSON, SOAP, and related services.

+ Experience administering Windows servers including IIS, SQL Server, monitoring server health, etc.

+ Experience with version control software such as TFS, MKS, etc.

+ Experience with multiple programming frameworks such as MVC, web forms, etc.

+ Experience with **IaaS technologies such as Azure or AWS.**

+ Experience with application integration technologies required.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; brings experience to design and implementation discussions so team can deliver better solutions.

+ Ability to communicate technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience.

+ Project management skills (small projects) with effective results focus within an information systems environment.

+ Thoroughly test solutions using relevant approaches and tools _._

+ Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

+ Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment.

+ Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.

+ Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent area of study or work experience.

+ 5+ years of Experience with **Microsoft .NET C# and/or** Java.

+ 3 years of Experience with Working with Windows servers.

+ 3 years of Experience Working Cloud technologies - AWS and Azure.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ AngularJS, Java, Linux servers experience is preferred.

+ Certification would be able a plus.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
