The Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) Manager will report to the Business Area Operations Director (BAOD), which oversees Operations for the Power & Propulsion Solutions (PPS) Business Area.
**Roles and Responsibilities:**
The PCA Manager will be responsible for all aspects of safety, manufacturing and test, quality, cost and delivery of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) that reside in the Endicott CCA Value Stream.
The PCA Manager will work with their direct supervisors to determine and communicate labor and capacity needs, maintaining a team that is structured and staffed and trained correctly and forward looking, assuring a strong talent pipeline for direct team members. The team is approximately 130 people over multiple shifts (including weekends).
Direct reports include Supervisors, Product Engineers, Tech Ops, and Continuous Improvement.
The PCA Manager will help eliminate and/or escalate any roadblocks from the factory, so that the factory has what they need to execute their daily activities. Day to day activities may include, but are not limited to, attending daily GEMBAs, supporting monthly CABs and CARBs, and driving Continuous Improvement efforts. The Manager will need to establish an effective communications framework throughout the team. He or she will need to address personnel issues, escalating these to the BAOD and or Human Resources when necessary.
Factory technology includes pick & place, manual component placement and positioning, manual assembly, manual/automated optical inspection, as well as functional and in-circuit test. PCA Manager is responsible for engagement with BAE Sector and Site process engineering to ensure factory and facility is prepared for future technologies as well as assuring equipment sustainment of current equipment. Additionally, PCA Manager is responsible to provide transformational leadership to embrace and embody the Factory of the Future initiative for the PCA area.
Strong quality and technology background preferred, including familiarity with AS9100D requirements. In addition, this candidate will begin to adopt AS9145 requirements working with the team to align with engineering, providing key process capabilities and limitations, in order to assure proper design choices as well as to help drive fewer defects. The PCA Manager is also responsible for continuous improvement, including reduction of factory escapes, on time delivery, and overall CoPQ improvements.
The PCA Manager would be responsible for maintaining capacity models for the factory including test capacity.

The PCA Manager has direct internal customer interface including Operations Directors, Quality, and Programs.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Proven leadership of dynamic manufacturing organizations and teams
+ Strong communication skills (Frequent customer interface)
+ Bachelor of Science of Degree in Engineering or equivalent Manufacturing Experience
+ Knowledge of Lean concepts
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master s Degree in Business or Engineering
+ Proven implementation of Lean concepts
+ CCA Manufacturing and Test experience
+ 6Sigma Certification: Lean Manufacturing Green Belt/Black Belt/Master Black Belt
+ AS9100D Certified
+ Working knowledge of AS 9145
