**Primary Purpose of Position:**

Assist & Lead to ensure equipment complies with all safety, environmental & other regulatory compliances.

Track engineering expense & capital budgeting compliance.

Assist to ensure the proper design, installation, modification & maintainability of new & existing plant equipment, buildings & facilities.

Assist engineering & maintenance to provide the necessary support to the production organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.

**Principle Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Technical Support - Routinely interface with operations/maintenance teams to stay current with day-to-day activities. Provides trouble-shooting to address process/equipment concerns. Utilizes process data to support continuous improvement efforts.

+ Quality Management - Investigates and determines corrective actions for incidents impacting product quality. Performs scheduled process quality internal audits and presents findings. Maintains operating work instructions/procedures for designated areas. Coordinates raw material/finished product trials

+ Project Management - Provides technical support for small capital project work (in designated areas). Utilizes the capital project charter to acquire necessary approvals and maintain adequate communications. Specifies necessary operating conditions. Works with the Engineering department to design equipment according to recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP). Measures business impact following project implementation.

+ Health, Safety, and Environmental Support - Provides technical support for the accurate risk assessment of plant processes and the safe handling of raw materials. Identifies/Pursues actions that reduce plant environmental footprint.

**Education:**

+ Bachelors degree in Engineering

**Experience:**

+ 0- 2 years experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering & maintenance associates to achieve cost effective goals.

+ Equipment design experience & project engineering or project management role is preferred.

**Skills:**

+ Ability to lead/influence without direct authority

+ Embraces collaboration and teamwork in achieving business goals/objectives

+ Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

+ Knowledge of statistical analysis and other continuous improvement tools
