**Senior Flavorist/Flavorist - Erlanger, KY or Cranbury, NJ**

**MAIN FUNCTION** :

A Senior Flavorist/Flavorist is responsible for driving sales through the original creation of innovative winning flavors in the Beverage category.

**KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:**

+ Flavor Creation Skills : 5+ years of experience in flavor creation with a proven track record of expertise and sales in the flavors category

+ Full working knowledge of all flavor raw materials, flavor chemistry, flavor creation & composition with good knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologies

+ Leadership – The position requires excellence in leadership and project management skills

+ Communication – The position requires well developed communication skills , able to communicate at all levels and good presentation skills

+ Global Experience – able to demonstrate knowledge of and appreciate different cultures

**DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:**

+ Development of creative and innovative winning flavors from scratch.

+ Create using multiple flavor delivery systems and flavor creation suitable for clean and clear labelling including systems for beverage including emulsion, encapsulation and spray drying within local regulatory guidelines.

+ Work in close collaboration with food scientists and ingredient & technology experts to develop total beverage solutions.

+ Develop a strong network of relationships ,with customers and vendors, across the industry

+ Trouble shoots problems faced in production in areas of compounding, extraction and separation.

+ Provide technical guidance to other functional groups within the company such as Quality Control, Production, Purchasing, Applications, Sales and R&D.

+ Work closely with Purchasing to ensure best pricing and quality of materials

+ Work with the global flavorist community to ensure transfer of knowledge.

+ Work closely with sensory/consumer insights to develop highly preferred flavor solutions.

+ Work with R & D to develop innovative raw materials

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:**

+ Proven track record of success in the F & F Industry

+ A team player with passion and drive to win.

+ Capable of creating flavors from Scratch.

+ Science Degree or higher (chemistry /Food Science preferred) at a reputable educational establishment

+ At least 5 years flavorist experience and able to demonstrate commercial success

+ Full working knowledge of all flavor raw materials, flavor chemistry flavor creation & composition

+ Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologies

+ Highly developed project management skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PPT, WORD etc.)of Microsoft office (Excel, PPT, WORD etc.)
