SCOPE OF POSITION
A Therapist is responsible for conducting individual sessions and groups with the clients to establish/review goals and document progress toward goals. Facilitate group therapy modalities within scope of their practice. Develops the master treatment plan in a timely manner according to program policies and documents client status and response to treatment. Attends Treatment Team, completes assessments, psychosocial histories, and discharge summaries. Performs other related work as instructed by the Supervisor.
MSHA expects all team members to support the VOS initiative by demonstrating awareness of the VOS system and effectively applying it to his/her work.
Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information (PHI). The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.
Reports directly to the Director of Outpatient Services or Case Manger Coordinator. Will have a cooperative working relationship with all staff, patients , and referral sources.
Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field. If providing group psychotherapy, must possess the credentials established for the appropriate state. At least two years or related clinical experience with the serious and persistent mentally ill. Excellent group facilitation skills and experience. Must have ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to handle multiple demands in a calm, controlled manner. Must maintain CPR Certification.
