Supervisor, Environmental Services

As a Supervisor in our Environmental Services Department, you will act as a technical resource for team members. In this role, you will contribute directly to our patient healing process, spending time interacting with our patients as well as our caregivers, including hands on training to ensure patient rooms are always disinfected and clean. Your other duties include but are not limited to:

* Supervising employees in daily operations.

* Maintaining staffing levels, scheduled, paid time off, and leave requests.

* Providing effective utilization of personnel, policies, and procedures.

* Analyzing daily workflow.

* Has basic computer skills.

* Has strong organizational skills.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Supervises employees in daily operations and evaluates performance.

+ Continuously inspects assigned areas to ensure high quality of cleaning and maintenance is being performed.

+ Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.

+ Ensures cross coverage.

+ Coordinates and provides orientation, education and training.

+ Improves procedures and processes.

+ Analyzes work flow and procedures. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness.

**Education:**

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

**Certifications:**

+ None required.

**Complexity of Work:**

+ Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

+ Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

**Work Experience:**

+ Two years of experience as a work leader, team lead of project manager, or one year of supervisor experience in a related field.

+ Previous environmental services or housekeeping experience is highly preferred.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

+ Offset: Bachelor's Degree and no experience.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

+ Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

+ Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer.

+ Ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping and lifting.

**Personal Protective Equipment:**

+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
