**Weekend Work:** Occasional

How often will this team member be working remotely? Never

**Responsibilities - Surgical Technologist Certified:**

+ Performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.

+ Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room and patients to ensure sterile field.

+ Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc.

+ Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.

+ May assist in patient transport.

**Qualifications:**

+ **Required:** BLS (Basic Life Support)

+ **Required:** Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military.

+ Or, hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.

+ **Required:** Certified Surgical Technologist NBSTSA (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery - Certified NCCT (TS-C) certification.

**Education:**

+ Required - High School or Equivalent

+ Required - Technical
