**Position Details**

+ **Location:** Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL

+ **Schedule:** Full time and part time opportunities available with occasional weekends

+ **On Call:** No

**Morton Plant Hospital** , a nationally recognized leader in patient care and clinical innovation, is seeking skilled and compassionate **Acute Physical Therapists** to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services to patients in an acute hospital setting, supporting recovery from surgery, injury, or illness.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients with acute medical conditions.

+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence (ADL’s).

+ Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and patient education.

+ Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.

+ Document patient progress and treatment in the electronic medical record system in accordance with BayCare standards.

+ Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families.

+ Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and state regulations.

**Qualifications:**

+ Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

+ Current Florida Physical Therapist license.

+ BLS certification required.

+ Acute care experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations in acute settings are welcome.

+ Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills.

**Preferred Skills:**

+ Experience with neurological, orthopedic, or cardiopulmonary patient populations.

+ Familiarity with BayCare EMR systems and documentation protocols.

+ Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.

+ Preferred Doctorate's Physical Therapy
