+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain & Operations Management, Finance, Business, related area or equivalent practical experience.
+ 12 years of business experience and 8 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience.
+ 5 years of category strategy development and strategic sourcing experience within a technology category.
+ Experienced with team management and working in technology procurement environment.
+ Master's degree in a technical field or MBA.
+ Experience working in the Technology Industry.
+ Experience participating on cross-functional and/or global teams.
+ Experience supporting initiatives from strategy to execution and delivering results while managing multiple tasks with strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

As a Category Manager, you will partner closely with key stakeholders to help shape and implement procurement strategies for developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to Google-wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management.
+ Determine key performance indicators for hardware category, usage and sentiment, and deliver reporting to stakeholders across the organization
+ Manage hardware life cycles including: creating a refresh/renewal calendar, building a documented, collaborative evaluation and certification process, and developing action plans for upcoming refresh/renewal dates
+ Develop an overall cost reduction plan, managing category performance versus corporate savings goals and financial models
+ Implement supplier management programs including metrics, performance goals, and improvement initiatives
+ Develop should cost and total cost of ownership models for the category and ensure the alignment of category plans and strategies to business priorities and functional objectives
