KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Development to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.
+ Provide technical management for all phases of the system development and implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse and complex development platforms
+ Manage multiple development projects, working closely with IT and business management to identify and translate complex business requirements into architectural design
+ Provide technical consulting and leadership, identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies that assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives
+ Manage relationship with clients, ensuring high standards and quality of technical solutions, keeping abreast of latest technology developments
+ Own technical change management, source code and technical documentation, utilizing best practices; custom Off the Shelf (COTS) and Internal Apps
+ Provide day to day technical administration including upgrades and release management, analyze log files, configuration file changes, installation and configuration documents (runbook), upgrade validation/testing, change control, technical issue/problem resolution
+ Minimum five years of professional experience in application development, integration and support including leadership roles as a Developer and/or a Project Manager; Proficient in industry standard best practices, which include but are not limited to Coding Standards, Coding modularity/Re-use, Application Design/Prototypes, Coding analyzer/profiling Toolsets, OOP and Agile Methodologies
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
+ Experience with Java, Spring, Kafka, Mongo and Docker and/or Kubernetes is required as is experience with full project life cycle including planning and executing application implementation and the creation of support procedures
+ In-depth and hands-on knowledge of the system development life cycle, the client area's functions and systems and application program development technological alternatives
+ Proficient in industry standard best practices, which include but are not limited to Coding Standards, Coding modularity/Re-use, Application Design/Prototypes, Coding analyzer/profiling Toolsets
+ Experience of Software Architecture, Design Patterns and Cloud Patterns; Understanding of CICD (Jenkins), Binary/Container Repos (Artifactory), OSS Vulnerability/Licensing Scanning (Whitesource), Static Code Analysis (Fortify, SonarQube), Observability (Micrometer, Zipkin, etc), Log Aggregation (Splunk, ELK, etc), API Management
+ Strong understanding of cloud first strategies (Azure Preferred) and the microservice application design pattern
