NeuroHospitalist Vascular Neurologist InPatient

CHI MEMORIAL NEUROSCIENCE INSTITUTE IS SEEKING A VASCULAR NEUROLOGIST

CHI Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a full-time Vascular Neurologist.

This position will be integral to the operations of a world-renowned stroke neurology team expert in both clinical care and acute stroke research. Building on one of the largest and most organized stroke referral networks in the US, the position offers outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained vascular neurologist interested in working in a high-volume practice at the forefront of the field of vascular neurology. The position involves a 7-on/7-off schedule with worked shared between the acute stroke and general neurology services with heavy emphasis on both services for stroke diagnosis and secondary stroke prevention. CHI Memorial operates as a comprehensive center with a strong neuro hospitalist, neuro interventional, and neurosurgery components all under a single highly collegial department of Neuroscience. Participation in our telemedicine program would be required; however, no experience in telemedicine is needed. At the forefront of acute stroke research for over 15 years, our team is looking for candidates with a passion to combine clinical care and involvement in stroke research.

Our team currently co-directs the national Neuroscience collaborative for CommonSpirit, our parent company, the second largest health care system in the country. With tremendous support from our hospital administration and tight collaboration with our partners including Baylor St Luke's in Houston and the Barrow in Phoenix, our program is focused on adoption of protocols and technology driving to the very best patient outcomes. With strong academic affiliation, ample opportunities for involvement in teaching and/or research on a local, regional, or national level exist for interested candidates.

Opportunity:

-Candidates must be board-eligible, or board-certified in neurology with a fellowship in vascular neurology.

-The position would be supported by a large team of clinicians with expertise in stroke neurology,

neuroimaging, neurocritical care, neuro-intervention, neurosurgery and outpatient neurology.

Research, a world leader in the execution of acute stroke research including artificial intelligence,

device, stem cell and other pharma clinical trials. Funding support for research is also available through

the Neuroscience Innovation Foundation, a private Chattanooga-based non-profit.
