**Job Description:**
This job is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet client expectations, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs.
+ The Messaging Infrastructure product manager’s role is responsible for maximizing the value of the enterprise midrange Messaging offerings leveraged by the Bank’s applications at scale. Job duties include setting the vision and roadmap for Messaging Infrastructure products, prioritizing the delivery, and effectively communicating to all partners. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with the product priorities. The product manager is an expert in Messaging technologies, business or technology domain, and the industry.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Generates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain
+ Communicates the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners and the teams
+ Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working closely with finance partners on both personnel and non-personnel expenses
+ Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them
+ Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and capacity teammates
+ Develops business cases for new products and additional features for existing products
+ Partners with the product owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and subject-matter expertise and understanding of the business and industry trends
+ Key Responsibilities
+ Product expert for Messaging capabilities including both on premise and Cloud offerings
+ Define the vision and roadmap for the Messaging products based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain. Drive product selection, RFx, etc.
+ Ensure alignment across Messaging product roadmaps to achieve portfolio objectives and support the financials and budget
+ Articulate roadmaps and features to Global Technology stakeholders and partners including CIO, Architecture Engineering, Production Support and Information Security
+ Define and prioritize features/epics in the program book of work
+ Represent product(s) within Messaging portfolio to control partners, e.g., Finance, Audit/Risk, Lines of Business
+ Continuously oversee product inventory, performance, lifecycle and risk to ensure product health
**Required Qualifications:**
+ BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent work experience .
+ Midrange messaging architecture experience within a large corporation is preferred
+ Knowledge of key technologies including IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka, TIBCO EMS or similar infrastructure platforms
+ 10+ years of experience as an infrastructure engineer or product manager in a related infrastructure technology
+ Experience working as a SME in a related infrastructure technology
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills including experience interacting with senior leadership and industry experts
+ Must have strong program management skills necessary to lead multi-discipline technology teams
+ Familiarity with general finance and accounting practices is preferable
+ Must have working experience in an Agile managed organization using products such as Jira Confluence
+ Must be a highly motivated, self-directed individual capable of supporting multiple large initiatives
