We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the production of high-volume defense electronics products. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the production process to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of complex electronic systems. This role requires strong leadership, technical, and problem-solving skills to manage a team of production coordinators, technicians, and assembly operators.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Communication and Collaboration:
2. Communicate production plans, schedules, and performance to stakeholders, including customers (internal and/or external) and senior management.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, share best practices, and drive business growth.
4. Production Planning and Scheduling:
5. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery requirements.
6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth production flow.
7. Analyze production capacity and identify opportunities for improvement.
8. Team Leadership and Management:
9. Supervise a team of production technicians, and assembly operators.
10. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
11. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
12. Process Improvement and Optimization:
13. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
14. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure production performance and identify areas for improvement.
15. Quality and Compliance:
16. Ensure production processes comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
17. Investigate and resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Atleast an associates degree OR experience in production management, preferably in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
+ Proven track record of leadership, team management, and process improvement.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Two years plus experience as a production manager.
+ Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
+ Familiarity with defense industry standards, such as AS9100 or NADCAP
**Pay Information**
This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
