**Required Skills:**

Data Scientist Responsibilities:

1. Conduct analyses to learn how to improve marketing in the new mobile and value-first world for the Facebook platform.

2. Focus on investigating and understanding the current best practices for advertising on Facebook as well as using data science to discover new strategies.

3. Consult with advertisers, partner with our sales stakeholders, and share findings with internal and external audiences.

4. Work with advertisers across various tiers and segments to test hypotheses, develop strategies, and educate on the best ways to optimize performance.

5. Apply analytical skills to complex quantitative problems, presenting actionable insights to key stakeholders both reactively and proactively.

6. Develop deep understanding of the Facebook Auction, analyze current performance, and develop new strategies for optimization.

7. Work with our Marketing Science and sales teams, as well as advertisers directly, to identify, analyze, and scale auction practices.

8. Identify levers for improving advertiser performance across Facebook's ads auction.

9. Present polished findings and recommendations directly to various stakeholders.

10. Elevate key themes to our product research teams that should be focused on deeper investigation or alpha testing of new opportunities.

11. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the US.

12. Up to 15% domestic travel required.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field of study and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 24 months of experience in each of the following:

14. CRM software

15. Evaluating key metrics and financial data

16. Delivering data driven insights

17. SQL

18. R.
