Title: Field Trainer Reports To: Operations Manager

FLSA: Exempt

Supervises: None

Summary / Objective: Ensure training of and adherence to QSC standards in all restaurants within an assigned territory. Ensure QSC standards are integrated throughout the training programs within an assigned territory.

Essential Functions

+ Conducts Key People process standards and behaviors evaluations and coaching inspections to ensure restaurants are providing a quality staff experience.

+ Conducts Key Customer standards and procedures evaluations and coaching inspections to ensure personnel is providing a quality experience to our guests.

+ Conducts Key Business process standards and behaviors evaluations and coaching inspections to ensure we are managing and monitoring key business controllables.

+ Conducts QSC standards and behaviors evaluations and coaching inspections to increase standards and key behaviors execution in restaurants to ensure food safety and quality are in compliance with regulatory and company standards (e.g. food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and specification compliance).

+ Ensures basic QSC training programs for crew, certified trainers, HSS, MIT and AMIT are executed up to company standards.

+ Ensures every certified trainer, HSS, MIT and AMIT are validated on knowledge, skills and abilities prior to being placed into position.

+ Communicates status of QSC standards evaluation and certified, HSS, MIT and AMIT training progress and validation on a weekly basis.

+ Assists in operations deployments and validation rollouts as needed.

+ Communicates standards evaluations findings to the manager on duty (MOD) following each audit and clarifies findings as needed in a collaborative manner.

+ Accumulates data and compilation of reports utilized for compliance verification, trend analysis, and continuous improvement actions with restaurants.

+ Completes 55-60 standards evaluations tri-annually (will include nights and weekends as needed).

+ Completes special projects as assigned.

+ Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company’s values and standards.

+ Works additional hours as needed.

+ Regular and punctual attendance.

+ Performs other duties as required and assigned.

+ Travels extensively via car and air in assigned market and across the country as needed.

+ Resides in the area of assigned territory.

Work Environment

+ Withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more.

+ Move throughout the restaurant for extended periods of time (up to 10-12 hours per day).

+ Move 50 lbs. for distances of up to 10 feet.

+ Balance and move up to 25 lbs. for distances of up to 50 feet.

+ Understand and respond to team members’ and guests’ requests in a loud environment.

+ Perform basic math and understand finances and cost management.

+ Bend, stoop, and reach in order to load and spit chicken, stock shelves, serve customers, and clean the restaurant.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Work may be required on the weekends per business needs. In Q4 more additional hours may be mandatory.

Required Education and Experience

+ Ability to travel extensively via car and air in assigned market and across the country as needed.

+ Reside or relocate to a strategic geographical area designated by Boston Market within assigned territory.

+ High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

+ 1 year of experience in the food industry, preferably in operations.

+ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in written format

+ Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and tact in difficult situations or discussions.

+ Demonstrated ability to uphold standards at all times.

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with other business partners.

+ Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt to and communicate new processes and procedures.
