Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the management of maintenance to our assets in the field. This position will manage account/location/ramp specific maintenance needs and their associated costs to ensure quality repairs and maintain safety standards. The incumbent will orient and onboard new JBH operations staff emphasizing company and governmental safety practices. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance .

Key Responsibilities:

+ Monitor the performance of service provider(s) to ensure they meet JBHT standards and remain withing budget

+ Other duties as assigned

+ Provide account support during start up process as required

+ Foster and maintain communication and cooperation between operations and maintenance personnel

+ Inspect JB Hunt equipment at assigned accounts and vendors; perform repairs as necessary

+ Ensure parts and supplies for our vendors are available and shipped in a timely fashion to minimize parts costs and equipment downtime; maintain tire inspections and cost containment as required

+ Utilize internal systems to monitor and track equipment needing service and campaigns; identify those units that are overdue and arrange to have these items completed as soon as possible

+ Maintain the company's safety culture by promoting a safe work environment in compliance with federal and state regulations

+ Act as a subject matter expert for accounts by consulting on maintenance policies and procedures; utilize continuous training to keep account personnel in the know.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3-5 years of industry related experience

Possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record as per JBH standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Class A Driver's License

+ Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)

+ Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)

+ Aptitude for learning newtechnologies/softwareapplications and specialized equipment

+ Basic analytical skills 

+ Basic budget experience

+ Basic construction skills

+ Experience in the transportation industry  

+ Experience working in a fast-pacedenvironment  

+ Experience working independently and as part of a team

+ Organizational skills  

+ Problem solving skills 

+ Proficient deductive reasoning skills  

+ Research skills 

+ Self-motivated 

+ Travel up to 60%.
