GDIT is seeking an out-of-the box Cyber Advisor to work with our highly skilled cyber team supporting as a Cybersecurity Advisor/Consultant to assist agencies to implement mission focused cybersecurity solutions. This position is part of the Growth Division CTO team in our Digital Consulting / Cyber Capability Group supporting the Cyber Center of Excellence and will provide technical leadership in cybersecurity across GDIT divisions. The Cyber Center of Excellence accelerates our cyber capability area using our highly-skilled workforce that effectively collaborates with relevant stakeholders to develop and lead integrated cybersecurity capabilities to support innovation. The immediate focus is leading solution developments and proposals to assist customers to secure, operate, and defend the enterprise.
You will be responsible for developing new GDIT's cyber capabilities, engaging customers, programs, and assisting GDIT's Cyber Center of Excellence. In addition you will look at new cyber technologies to address emerging threats. Desired knowledge in Zero Trust Architecture and/or Defensive Cybersecurity Operations. You may provide incident response support, penetration testing/vulnerability management, zero trust enablement, and hands-on security engineering and act as the subject matter expert / advisor / leader on numerous cybersecurity focus areas for critical high visibility cyber customers.
+ You will engage as an architect, supporting implementations through programs & solutions and being recognized-as a thought leader.
+ You will design and develop new cybersecurity systems, applications, and solutions for federal customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
+ Monitors security posture and analyzes potential threats and vulnerabilities. Use Information Assurance requirements and standards to analyze system configurations to determine, maintain and improve security posture.
+ Provides security analysis and evaluation for system engineering and architecture designs.
+ Recommend proper system configuration and administration control procedures to enhance system security, performance, and to ensure information systems are compliant with applicable laws, policies and procedures.
+ Collaborate with security and IT staff to ensure the continued compliance and secure operation of accredited information systems. Generate application/network/system diagrams to depict security posture, data flows, and other technical information necessary to support the C&A process.
In order to be considered:
+ Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, cyber security, or equivalent education and experience.
+ Five or more years in information security, cyber operations, or cyber defense, information systems.
+ This position may require minimal travel to our Falls Church, VA and/or Columbia, MD locations and/or customer sites or conferences as needed.
+ Must have hands-on technical cyber knowledge.
+ This position requires an individual to possess or be able to obtain an active secret clearance
+ Must have a proven track record in developing comprehensive cyber solutions focused in cybersecurity capabilities including: EDR, SIEM, IdAM, Vulnerability Assessment, Containers, Cloud Security, CASB, Web App Firewalls, SSL/Break, Forensics/Intrusions, IdAM, Zero Trust Architecture, Threat Intelligence.
+ Wide cyber domain experience of engineering and application development across various cloud services providers is ideal.
+ You should have engineering experience including performing technical evaluation of potential solution sets and evaluate to requirements..
+ Knowledge of Cyber and/or Applications and/or Networks Performs vulnerability and risk assessments on existing and newly developed systems throughout the system development lifecycle.
+ Experience performing risk management framework, information assurance, cloud security, or zero trust architecture.
+ Experience with RFP/RFI, capture, bid and pre-sales efforts
